Popular Birthday Cake Ideas for Boys

1. Spiderman Cake

Still one of the most requested boys' designs we make. The classic Spiderman Cake covers most parties, or go bigger with the 2-Tier Spiderman – In Front Eyes design if you want more presence on the table.

2. Super Mario Cake

Bold primary colours and instantly recognisable characters make this an easy pick for a gaming-themed party. The 2 Tier Super Mario Ice Cream Cake starts at A$159.95 and works well as the table centrepiece.

3. Dinosaur & T-Rex Cake

Reliable for younger birthdays especially. We do a Baby Dinosaur Cake with Volcano for a smaller family celebration, and a full 2 Tiered T-Rex Dinosaur Cake if the guest list is bigger.

4. Basketball Cake

Court styling and team colours are an easy match for a basketball-mad kid. Our Basketball Golden State Warriors – Steph Curry design is one of the more requested versions, or keep it simple with the Basketball Round Birthday Cake.

5. Football & Soccer Cake

Club colours usually do the heavy lifting on this one. We've made Chelsea F.C. and Arsenal designs, and a plain soccer ball works just as well if the party's not tied to one team.

6. Frozen & Elsa Cake

Blue, white and silver carry most of the styling here, which makes it easy to match the rest of the party without much extra work. Available as a single cake or as the 2-Tiered Elsa Cake for a bigger guest list.

7. Hello Kitty & Sanrio Cake

Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and My Melody all live in this range, so it's worth checking which character your daughter actually follows first. Hello Kitty leans pink, white and bows; Kuromi goes black, purple and pink; Cinnamoroll pairs with soft blue and white.

8. Disney Princess Cake

Good option when the birthday girl doesn't have one single favourite princess. Crowns, pastel tones and a bit of sparkle cover the whole fairytale theme without needing to match one exact character.

9. Mermaid Cake

A nice change from the usual princess or Frozen requests, and it pairs naturally with shell and starfish decorations if you're planning something beach or pool-themed.

10. K-Pop Demon Hunters Cake

The most requested design across the board right now, regardless of who's turning the year older. Available as a tall single-tier cake or a 2-tier version, starting at A$69.95.

11. Labubu Cake

The character does most of the work here, which makes it a safe pick for a party where a few Labubu figurines are already part of the decorations. See the 2-Tiered Tall Pink Labubu design.

12. Pokémon & Pikachu Cake

Pikachu tends to be the safest Pokémon to build a cake around, and the yellow, red and black palette photographs well. See the Pikachu Cake or browse more Pokémon designs.

13. Number or Alphabet Cake

A solid pick when the birthday child doesn't have one obvious theme yet, or for a first or second birthday where the age itself is the main event.
